Download Manager is a clean, fast, and modern replacement for Chrome’s default downloads page—built to make managing your files simple, organized, and efficient. Open it from the toolbar or access it when visiting chrome://downloads. With a streamlined interface, you can quickly search, filter, and sort your downloads, view detailed file information, and take actions—all in one place. ✨ Key Features: 1. Modern download manager UI Easily browse your files with search, filters, sorting, grouping by date, and a detailed view for each download (file path, source, actions). 2. Smart file organization Keep your Downloads folder clean automatically: - Default (enhanced Chrome behavior) - By date (e.g. YYYY-MM-DD/) - By file type (images, videos, documents, code, etc.) - By source (website/hostname) 3. Custom file handling Configure additional file extensions and fine-tune how files are categorized in Settings. 4. Automatic filename improvements Optional date prefix (e.g. 12052026_photo.png) for better sorting and consistency. 5. Enhanced image downloading Right-click “Download Image (Download Manager)” to save images from sites where “Save image as…” may fail (e.g. social media, CDNs, blogs). 6. Clean & accessible design Dark mode friendly, lightweight, and supports both English and Vietnamese. 7. Open-source transparency Includes a direct link to the project for full visibility and trust. ⚠️ Notes Files are always saved within your Chrome Downloads folder. (You can change the root folder in Chrome settings.) If “Ask where to save each file” is enabled in Chrome, the save dialog may still appear. Some protected or restricted files may not be downloadable due to website limitations. Source: https://github.com/buigiathanh/extension-download-manager
